Why Miss America is important
The Miss America Organization strives to change lives and influence young women across the country and around the world. We offer academic and community-based scholarships, as well as endowed scholarships for those young women attending medical school, working in special areas of the military service, and in the performing arts.
Miss Wyoming Outstanding TEEN
The Outstanding TEEN program was organized to encourage positive achievement by helping to nurture and build the scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living, and community involvement of our nation’s youth. Competition is held with the Miss Wyoming program for girls ages 13 and 17 years old.
The Miss America Organization, a 501(c)4 non-profit organization, is the nation’s leading advocate for women’s education and the largest provider of scholarship assistance to young women in the United States, awarding millions of dollars annually. The Miss America Organization is comprised of 51 organizations, including all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Miss America contestants contribute tens of thousands of community service hours annually and have raised over $16 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Miss America scholarships since 2007.
